They should be changed out at least once week during your teen years. Also wash your face a few times a day then use a good moisturizer.|||There are face powders that can absorb natural oil without clogging pores. Bare Minerals is one of them, I get mine through Ebay. Wash with gentle soap and water (a glycerine soap like Neutrogena is good) and pat dry gently, don%26#039;t rub. Don%26#039;t put anything on that has alcohol in it, it dries out the surface of the skin causing the pores underneath to produce even more oils. When was your last checkup, you doc is your best help. My daughter in law has it really really bad and it itches a lot for her, a dermatologist finally found her a medication that stops the itching and now that she%26#039;s not scratching or picking at it, she looks much better. You%26#039;ve asked an important question. Acne can leave scars. Let a doctor help you with this

Mary|||age|||PROACTIVE|||not sure, but what i used to do was boil a kettle and put my head over a bowl with a towl to clean out my pores on my face, saying that i was never that bad with acne, good luck.|||A BOMB|||i know it hard but try drinking water and less sweet|||drink alot of water and wash face daily. i know it sounds old school, but it really does help. sometimes medicine/cream doesnt work with our skin types. + water cleans out your whole system, not just your skin :D|||sandpaper.|||if it is really acne and not just teenage spots and there is a lot of it go to your dr and try oxytetracycline which is used for acne/infections and open sores etc but these are 2 twice a day.not to be taken with milk products iron preparations or indegestion remedies.

or

lymecycline {tetrasyl} take one capsule a day do not take with iron preparations or indegestion remedies.

if its just the odd one appearing, i use toothpaste, just dab a lil toothpaste on it before bed|||Try Proactive......good luck|||wash , paper bag or a bucket|||Agood diet, less stress,no alcohol,fags..plenty of open air walking..and plain old %26quot;wrights coltar soap%26quot;.Buy it fromm yuor chemist tomorrow!!....i use it and i look clear.|||Prevention is the best medicine. A healthy diet, plenty of water and exercise. I like herbal face washes, they don%26#039;t dry the skin and do a wonderful job of preventing future outbreaks. This was a very good article about acne prevention|||Exfoliating with a scrub after opening your pores with warm water %26amp; benzoyle peroxide face wash. Then use a benzoyle peroxide lotion overnight. Salicylic acid causes some people (like myself) to devlop systic acne.|||10% Benzol Peroxide wash, it%26#039;s the only stuff that actually travels down pores.

I have prescription stuff that works well. Doxycycline 100 mg

And water. Lots of water.|||ProAcne|||Antibacterial exfoliating face wash. Worked for me %26amp; now i use it every day to prevent spots.|||Watch your diet and use tea tree products when washing your face. Your doctor may prescribe something if it is that bad. Good luck!|||OK lets be real, acne%26#039;s a b**** and it%26#039;s the worst thing to get over but its not impossible. The best thing out there for it right now is Acutane, but, it is not for everyone that%26#039;s why it is only obtained by a Dr%26#039;s prespription. Some people tend to be allergic to the medicine, for a few percentage it does not work for, but usually it does, for everyone, even though after you stop using it the acne comes back, like with every other medicine after the treatment is over. It is really harsh on your body though, for women they can%26#039;t take contraceptives or have kids due to some serious problems that can occur while taking it, other people experience horrible peeling and dryness.

Apart from all this, i used to have acne, apparently not bad enough for Acutane (according to my dermatologist) but it was still bad (at least i thought it was), so i was recommended this over the counter medicine called %26quot;Nature%26#039;s Cure%26quot;. They have two medicines, one formulated for men, and another for women, and among these they have the topical creams and face washes as well as pills that work from the inside out. I personally tried the cream and face wash. Since i started using it i have yet gotten another pimple, seriously, my face is progressing miraculously, alot of the blemishes are gone, almost all. Smooth skin, it does dry it a little bit but barely, everyone%26#039;s complimented on it. A few more weeks and my face will be completely clear. To help with this i also get facials done, everyonce in a while to help with the deep cleaning, which helps alot to remove stubborn clogs and blackheads and so forth.

I know not all of these over the counter medicines work for everyone, like myself that i%26#039;ve tried Proactive and Murad and all those things and i actually got my face worse due to them. But this one worked, see if you can find it in a neighborhood pharmacy or drugstore, or supermarket (which some of them also sell them), or online in their website.

About a diet, the main cause of acne is not your diet, eating chocolate or drinking too much soda, it%26#039;s an old wife%26#039;s tale, BUT a good diet will prevent excess oils in the skin which will clog pores and cause breakouts.

The main cause of acne are your body%26#039;s hormones, we can%26#039;t fix those with a change in diet. For me i go to the gym about 5 days a week, and excercise, this helps your metabolism break fatty acids that may affect your hormone production, as well as providing an overall well being for the body and get you nice and fit, a little blood to the old pump is sometimes the best remedy for current health problems as well as future undeveloped ones.

Stress is another factor that people a lot of the time don%26#039;t consider, it does affect your acne because too much stress will trigger hormone production in the body and well you know the rest. Try to take life easily, i know sometimes it%26#039;s hard but you gotta try, for my stress, excercise wipes it all out, and it usually does for a lot of people so think about it.

Well i hope this helps you and good luck with what ever you end up trying.|||RUBBING ALCOHOL. APPLY TO ACNE AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE, LET DRY , DO NOT WIPE OFF. IT ALWAYS WORKS AND YOU DON%26#039;T HAVE TO SPEND A LOT OF MONEY ON EXPENSIVE MEDICATED CREAMS. ANYWAY MOST OF YOYR MEDICATED CREAMS CONTAIN ALCOHOL. GOOD LUCK.|||I am amazed by a treatment my dermatologist gave me, after trying everything from clearasil to beta hydroxy and glycol treatments to stri-dex and Dermalogica - this was relatively inexpensive and started to work immediately!

He prescribed 2 things over the counter and one presciption - wash with a 5% pan oxyl bar 2 x day, (benzoyl peroxide) followed by Amlactin 14% lotion. (Both OTC) He also prescribed an antibiotic gel to put on the blemishes and open sores. (Clindamycin)

The very first time I used it, my pores opened up an I could literally wipe away the stuff that was clogging my pores. The bumpy texture and all the keratin plugs were gone in 36 hours!|||see the doctor|||Well if you have acne and it keeps appearing a good healthy diet (like no eating french fries or fried foods at all) , no drugs or alcohol, a positive attitude, and exercise might help. If you don%26#039;t think these things are a factor you can try Proactive. I%26#039;m not a sales person for Proactive or anything but I know a few people who use it or have used it and it seems to work quite well as long as you follow the directions which also encourage you to eat healthy and exercise. Apparently one of the main sources of its magic is that one of the bottles that you would wash your face with has benzoyl peroxide which is a skin bleaching agent that can get rid of blemishes by bleaching your skin. This won%26#039;t be too effective though if you keep on getting rashes of acne. That can be a sign of something you ingest or maybe just hormones but certainly check out Proactive it might help. =)|||its not what you put on your skin, its what you eat and drink that makes the difference.Be healthy inside and out.|||wash more|||Start washing your face everyday at leaste twice, use an expholiating scrub and then try some product like Noxema which will fry out all the oil in your acne. Before that if it%26#039;s really bad boil water and let your face steam in it. Also make sure you%26#039;re not too underweight, that can cause acne. Also try to avoid touching your face, that%26#039;ll get dirt and oil in your pores and don%26#039;t pop your zits!

Hope I helped!
