I%26#039;ve tried alcohol, bandages, and carrots and my acne still won%26#039;t go away! Is diet a major factor in this?

1) Hormonal changes due to puberty
2) Overactive sebaceous glands (genetic)
3) Stress
4) Presence of p. acnes bacteria in pores
5) Diet (a diet high in iodine, milk products contain iodine)
6) Exposure to certain chemicals (like high amounts of chlorine)
It%26#039;s usually a combination of various factors. Acne goes away for most people as they leave adolescence, while others (like myself) don%26#039;t develop acne until they%26#039;re in their 20s.
Some general recommendations:
1) Don%26#039;t over-wash your face. Wash it once in the morning, once before you go to bed. Other than that, only after you exercise.
2) Don%26#039;t touch your face with your hands unless you%26#039;re washing your face. It spreads more bacteria.
3) Don%26#039;t be discouraged when one treatment doesn%26#039;t work. Acne is caused by a lot of factors.. it can take a lot of different treatments before you find the right one for you. here are some tips that were helpful for me to get rid of my acne:
Drink water
Drink a lot of water every day. Aim to drink at least two liters of still mineral water. If the skin becomes dehydrated, dead skin cells are not effectively shed, which can lead to blocked pores and further acne.
Sunshine and fresh air
Sunshine stimulates the creation of vitamin D in your body - an essential vitamin for healthy skin. A little bit of fresh air and sunshine every day will also reduce the stress and increase oxygen to the skin. I had this same problem,, firstly i went to my doctors.. if your a girl ask to be put on the pill.. dianette helps spots.. then the doctor also gave me retin-a cream which just sort of drys out your skin and if you put too much on it makes your face red and sore.. well that happend to me so i though ill get some calamine cream to cool down the redness.. and my face quickly after about 2 days was normal.. and i didnt have any spots! i was like :o wow.. so i carried on putting calamine cream on the areas where spots used to come through most.. and now i only get the odd spot and after i put the cream on it its gone within two days! seriously! i used to ask this question all the time in google and yahoo answers.. and after i did that by acciedent it made me soo happy! Put the cream on whenever you can and stick as much on as you want.. i normaly put it on before bed and when i%26#039;m home alone and know im not going to see anyone lol.. seriously if you want them to go please do this! recommend this too others aswell! you shouldnt have to suffer! Its not really that diet related btw.. i eaat loadsa crap still and it doesnt really effect me, *touch wood*..
